How to Overcome Panic Attacks – Breaking the Vicious Loop of Panic and Overcoming Panic Attacks

I understand the actual intentions had been good, but the information I acquired based on how to overcome panic attacks, through individuals who did not are afflicted by all of them, was just rubbing salt into the injury. It’s no good attempting to overcome fear, whenever your biggest fear is the fear associated with concern by itself.

I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. A person say your own concerned about soaring, and they just tell you that’s irrational, they elope loads of amounts as well as statistics to convince you that soaring is the safest transport on the planet. Thanks, I currently understood which. However what do the statistics say about the chances that a person who is affected with anxiety attacks, will get an attack, whilst soaring? It’s the bit they do not understand.

A minimum of with flying people take which you may have concern, you simply can’t explain to individuals how you can get an attack in a grocery store, or just seated at home.

My physician was very sympathetic, but you might tell he did not really understand the problem, he just understood the actual textbook solution. Tranquilizers. Okay, medicines can help you stop a panic attack, if you take enough of them you end being therefore drowsy you do not feel something. But then you can’t generate, or work, and you never get any pleasure from something.

But I found the actual most detrimental bit had been trying to cease using them just made things even worse. Basically did not take the medicine, then I had been scared which i might obtain an attack, and the anxiousness of getting an anxiety attack simply created the assault more real, I acquired more anxious concerning the fact I did not possess the medication that helped me to through the attack.

It usually boiled down to the same thing, the slightest fear or question, however minimum, just creates more anxiousness, driving a car of the assault by itself. It’s just a aggresive loop of self generated anxiousness.

I discovered a lot of of stuff that helped, plus they do assist with staying away from anxiety attacks, or during them. But they did not get rid of them. The big query personally was how to beat anxiety attacks, get rid of them.

It was the internet that educated me in how to beat anxiety attacks. After i began surfing I possibly could discover a lot more information than prior to, I was no longer limited by the advice of my close friends as well as local physicians, that did not are afflicted by these types of attacks themselves.

On the web, I found people who have already been through the same nightmare, people who might clarify what’s happening, people who had been via it all on their own. Understanding what is really happening had been the key in order to having the ability to eliminate all of them, and leading an ordinary life again.

Panic attacks or something else?

November 24th, 2010 by admin

Ok.. So i don’t really know where else to turn.. I have been to several doctors and the ER several times.. Everyone says I’m just having panic attacks.. even my family.. But I am not so sure.. It’s so hard to explain the way I’m feeling and I’m afraid I’m not getting the full picture out when I try to describe it to others..

I have been dealing with these issues my whole live.. ever since I can remember.. they seem to be getting worse lately.. What happens.. EVERY night when I am getting ready for bed… I lay down and get settled in.. and I start to have strange sensations in my chest area.. sometimes its an achy feeling.. sometimes a tingling feeling.. sometimes every few minutes I get a random sudden hard beat of my heart that causes me to have to take a deep breath.. sometimes I feel like I’m going to pass out.. It’s hard to explain.. I still feel I am not doing it justice.. It’s just an ‘overall’ strange feeling.. And when I get the random sudden hard heart beats. I get like.. a ‘flushy’ feeling that goes through my entire body..

I just feel like I am at my wits end.. I have been having such a hard time sleeping due to these occurrences.. and they last all night.. until finally late in the morning I just crash due to exhaustion. I don’t know what to do.. No one really wants to listen and wants to brush it off as panic attacks.. But the treatments for that don’t seem to be helping.. I was put on Zoloft.. and it didn’t do much to stop what’s been going on.. Aside from helping me get a little more sleep.

If anyone has had similar circumstances.. Please share with me your experiences and what you think it could possibly be.. I feel like I am going insane!
I also want to add real quick.. A couple of the times I have been to the ER due to these symptoms.. (sometimes I also have shortness of breath, and like a crushing feeling in my chest) they have done blood work.. and both times my d-dimer levels came back really high.. which is suggestive of a blood clot.. They would immediately give me blood thinners.. Once I even had to get a shot of a blood thinner in my stomach.. and then they do a CT scan which comes up negative for any clots.. What else could this mean? Could it be related? Or could it really be blood clots.. and just by the time the scans were done, the blood thinners had dissolved them? Confused here..
I have had several other tests done as well.. I have had ekg’s.. which were normal except on one occasion I was have extreme palps while hooked up to it.. my heart rate reached 180 and they had to give me 2 doses of metoprolol to bring it down.. then i had to continue to take metoprolol for several months until I found out I was pregnant.i had my thyroid tested.. which was normal. and I have had CT scans because a couple times my d dimer was elevated and they were worried about a blood clot.. One time they did see something in my lung, gave me a blood thinner and a couple hours later did a lung scan.. and the ’spot’ was gone.. could be that the thinner already got rid of it.. I was suppose to have a sleep study done a couple months ago but was unable to go due to my daughter being admitted in the hospital.. she’s 4 and has been fighting cancer for over a year.. and is now in remission.. I know that has put me under a lot of stress as well..

You didn’t mention what tests these doctors have performed on you. Have you had an MRI, Stress Test, EKG, EEG (brain waves),etc? Do these sensations and/or palpitations only occur at night? If so, I would tend to agree with the diagnosis (panic attacks).
Do they occur prior to falling asleep or always awaken you at night?

My elderly mother was having strange sensations while resting in her chair or in bed that she described as if someone were pumping air into her arm and chest. No one was with her when she had these "attacks" so the family and doctors thought they were panic attacks. Later it became more evident that she was actually having seizures. Her prognosis after she had a CAT SCAN and MRI was that she had multiple brain lesions and she passed away a few months later.

I’m not trying to frighten you as they were different than what you are experiencing and you also mentioned having them for years. Perhaps you can go to one of these sleep apnea centers. They can observe you while you are asleep and run some tests on you.
I would continue to see different cardiologists and possibly neurologists until all tests were done in order to rule out any physiological disorders.

Panic Attacks: Alternative Cure 1

November 23rd, 2010 by admin

A more “organic” reason for Panic. Video was cut off at the end, apologies for that and the messed up text/graphic at the end.

I got a little emotional at one point, which was totally unexpected. I decided to just leave the video as-is, because videos are just too darn hard for me to make! (I just ain’t no good at making videos! ;p).

Thanks for watching, please stay tuned. I intend to help every single person out there dealing with panic attacks.
